Altered Book Project

 after learning techniques for altering books, I removed the cover from a book i choose along with some pages. i turned the pages in to large chunks and spray painted it and added some colors after. i based my idea off of some previous work I did and used my experience with reading and writing as inspiration.

Group Tape Project

For this project, I was partnered with my class mates, Katie, Nina and Olivia, and we really had a lot of fun working together. Our goal was to created a drawing out of hockey tape that was 3D and in perspective.  It took us awhile to get a good design that we could do in time and still like but we decided on toy blocks and rocketships, and got to taping. We started with a basic design and added things as we went.

Canvas Mat

We had to created or choose a pattern, and paint it on a mat that we primed, I came up with a couple designs in my sketch book and chose this one. I used split complementary of blues and orange and then cut out the edges of it.

Planar Analysis

after a couple practice sketches, we drew our hands, mapping out the shapes and shades ans later making the edges sharp and straight 

we  then moved on to our faces, repeating the process and sanding and gesso-ing the wooden boards

finally we painted the planes we created on our faces hair and clothing, and added a background
